Having served with the Indian Army for about 24 years, he commanded a Missile Regiment which was ready to strike deep inside enemy territory during the military stand-off with Pakistan, named “Operation PARAKRAM” in the year 2001-2002. He has also been responsible for coordination of Operational Logistics covering four and half states of the North-Eastern region, under hostile insurgency conditions. He led coordination and execution of movement of troops, weapons, and equipment of over 10,000 soldiers from the North-East to the Jammu and Kashmir region for “Operation VIJAY” (the Kargil conflict) in the year 1999. Awarded a “Commendation” by the General Officer Commanding of the Eastern Command, he served as the CHRO of one of the TATA company post retirement.
